Seaside Architecture -of one kind shines in its old glory. The first sea resorts Heiligendamm, with epithets like the 'White Village' at the Sea, was founded in 1793 by Friedrich Franz I. Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (region in Mecklenburg-Western Pommerania). In June 2003 the Kempinski Grand Hotel celebrated its renaissance in this exclusive sea resort.
